My name is Vonée Hemans. Age 26, and yes, I’m still figuring out God’s will for my life in so many ways. I’m really just an ordinary young woman seeking more of God and His amazing love, and I’m just like you in many ways I’m sure. Brokenness. Hurt. Insecurities. Confusion. I’ve experienced them all, and still battle against them in this great controversy we live in each day. But I’ve also tasted of the sweet joy, peace and wholeness that only Jesus Christ can give when we truly come to Him, surrendered with burdens and all, and trusting in His love and power to save. And I want to share glimpses of the joy He’s been giving me with you on this blog, in hopes that you may be encouraged on this journey.
Yes, it’s a journey – the journey from brokenness to wholeness. But it’s a journey worth taking and a journey that we’ve all be called to. It’s a journey of salvation – of redemption and restoration into the beautiful full and whole image of God that we were made in – body, mind and soul. God promises to finish the work He has begun in us (Philippians 1:6), and that promise gives me sweet hope for the days ahead as we await the soon return of Jesus.
From a little girl, I’ve heard Jesus calling to my heart, and I chose to follow Him in those tender years. Since then there have been so many highs and lows, but Jesus has always been the one who has remained constant, always wooing and drawing me to His side.
And He’s drawing you too. He always has been and always will be.
Why? Because He loves you so much that He gave up all of heaven and His very life that you might have a chance to be made whole and have life eternal — free from sin, sorrow and pain. That your brokenness, hurt, insecurities, and confusion could be forever gone. He paid the price for our sins – death, and was treated as we deserve that we might be treated as He deserves. Won’t you join me in this journey of being made whole by faith in such a wonderful Saviour and His power to save?! Only Jesus can save us from our brokenness. I’m seeking this wholeness in Jesus, and I’d love to be able to help you on your journey toward the same. Won’t you grant me the privilege?
May God bless & keep you,
